mom vs dad

okay so my mom and my dad have been divorced since i was like 7 and it’s always been that i’m at my moms during the week and my dads on the weekends. but they both despise each other, which kind of really sucks…. my mom is always trying to find a way to screw over my dad and i feel bad, because he doesn’t really do anything, he’s not that bad of a guy. but anyways here’s the story, up until a couple years ago my dad was paying child support and everything, but then he got into a car accident and lost his job and fucked up his back… therefore not having money to pay the child support so since then my mom has been taking him to court about it which is stupid because the money it costs to go to court outweighs the money she would fucking get in the first place…. and at one point she filed a contempt of court and put him in jail for a week, which was really shitty… and just last week she filed another contempt of court because apparently she wasn’t getting the FIFTY DOLLARS a month that she was supposed to from him, and apparently he didn’t know because it was supposed to be taken right out of his disability check, but she couldn’t just pick up the phone and call him and say “hey joe, i’m not getting the money, why?” she had to sneak around and go file another contempt of court…? and it sucks because i’m always in the middle of it all.. i have to hear my mom be like “i want to put his ass in jail”, and my dad be like “what the fuck? this is bullshit, what a bitch” in the past i’ve sided with my mom on stuff like this but this time around it’s just bullshit, like honestly my mom is not poor.. we’re not rich or anything either, but it’s not like NOT getting the 50$’s a month is hurting us, she’s just trying to prove that she has the upper hand it’s fucking stupid, and i also think my stupid step father is giving her these ideas to file these stupid lawsuits because he’s a lawyer part time and i watch them sit there and figure out ways to fuck over my dad, IT’S ANNOYING JUST LEAVE THE FUCKING GUY ALONE, he honestly didn’t know that you weren’t getting the money, are you a grown up? aren’t you supposed to handle things in a mature manner? like picking up a phone and talking it out rather than blindsiding someone else with a stupid lawsuit, goddamn….

anyways, this is my personal rant for the day, it’s just really annoying to be stuck in the crossfire. why can’t we just let everyone live their lives and stop trying to find ways to fuck each other over?
